About Mark Fabbi, VP Distinguished Analyst, Gartner
Mark Fabbi is a vice president, distinguished analyst and leads Gartner's research in Enterprise Network Infrastructure. Mr. Fabbi's research focuses on all aspects of enterprise network design, including network technologies, vendors and strategies. The focus for his research includes both physical and logical networking technologies for virtualized data centers, improving application performance using innovative network technologies that span the gap between applications and networks, and helping clients realize a more productive relationship with key vendors to improve operations while driving down infrastructure costs.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Fabbi worked for Bell Canada and affiliated companies in a variety of technical and marketing management positions. He played a leadership role in developing internetworking and managed network service offerings and established key channel relationships with the pioneers of the emerging internetworking market.
About Jay Mellman, Senior Director, HP ProCurve Networking Business, HP
With over 20 years of background in the technology industry, Jay Mellman brings a wide variety of business experiences to HP. As the Sr. Director of Marketing for HP Networking, he leads a team responsible for bringing these leading offerings to market.
Prior to joining HP, Jay had a number of roles at Cisco, most recently developing programs to help bring technologies to the service provider community. He has experience across networking, software, and network and systems management, bringing a broad perspective to the challenges faced by IT and customers.
Mellman graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics and holds an MBA in marketing and strategy from Northwestern.
