Mark McDonald, Ph.D., is a group vice president, head of research in Gartner Executive Programs, and a Gartner Fellow. He is responsible for the research agenda focused exclusively on CIOs and the business of information technology. Mr. McDonald is the lead author of research in the areas of CIO credibility, the business use of advanced technologies, enterprise architecture and business process transformation.

He is the co-author of the book, "The Social Organization" (October 2011) with Anthony Bradley. He is also the co-author with Peter Keen of "The eProcess Edge" and the author of "Architecting Enterprises ? Achieving Performance and Flexibility." He has also been interviewed or published in the Wall Street Journal, Computerworld, CIO Magazine, the Financial Times and other publications. He routinely works with senior business and technology executives and is currently working on the issue of innovation in management.

About Bob Toohey, President, Verizon Digital Media Services
Bob Toohey is president of Digital Media Services, leading a team of industry experts driving technology innovation, marketing, sales, service and operations to deliver premium video on demand, live events, linear channels and dynamic ad insertion solutions for the digital media industry worldwide.

Toohey previously served as chief operating officer of Verizon Enterprise Solutions, a business unit delivering the company’s platform-based portfolio of integrated wireless and wireline products, IT and cloud capabilities. He was responsible for all global sales, service and operations functions, providing enterprise and government customers with advanced industry solutions and professional services.

Prior to that, Toohey served as president of Verizon Business, with responsibility for marketing, sales, professional consulting services, service delivery and customer care for our global business and government customers. In that role, he oversaw the acquisition and integration of Terremark and CloudSwitch, now Verizon subsidiaries, which serve as the company’s IT and security services arm.

Previously, Toohey was senior vice president of global customer care and services for Verizon Business, responsible for customer service, delivery and continuous improvement managing the company’s business and government customers worldwide. He formerly served as the senior vice president of human resources and communications for Verizon Business, responsible for developing and implementing company-wide human resources policies and strategies to drive workforce engagement and a high-performance, service-oriented culture. Toohey played a key role in the integration of MCI and Cybertrust, and was instrumental in implementing a solutions-based, customer-focused approach to sales and service.

Toohey began his career at GTE in 1988 and over the past 24 years has held various positions of increasing responsibility in finance, operations, human resources and services. Toohey serves as vice chairman of the Board of Directors for Atlantic Health, and is a member of the Board of Advisors for Highroads, Inc. and DocuSign. He is also a member of the Board of Visitors for Northeastern University College of Business Administration.

Toohey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northeastern University.
