About Frances Karamouzis, Research Vice President, Gartner
Frances Karamouzis is a research vice president in Gartner Research and Advisory Services. Ms. Karamouzis focuses on the IT services and outsourcing market and is also the lead analyst for global sourcing research in North America. Ms. Karamouzis is currently a vice president of research, focusing on strategic sourcing of IT services in Gartner's Research and Advisory Services. With 22 years of experience in the industry, Ms. Karamouzis is the lead North American research analyst for Gartner's Globalization of IT Sourcing research (offshore team), focusing on market trends and directions, country-specific research (including but not limited to China, India, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Central Eastern Europe, the Philippines and Vietnam), financial modeling of global sourcing business cases, and service delivery capabilities of the consulting and outsourcing providers. Beyond her own published research for Gartner, she has appeared and/or contributed to reports showcased on 60 minutes, CNN, CNBC, PBS, Business Week, Forbes and Council for Foreign Relations, as well as provided research directly to Thomas Friedman's "The World is Flat." Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Karamouzis spent 11 years with a large multinational consulting firm, where she was involved in several service delivery areas including strategy, process design, system integration, change management and knowledge management. About Eduardo Ruiz Esparza, Ph.D, Chairman of the Board, CANIETI
Eduardo Ruiz Esparza Flores has been Chairman at the CANIETI Northeast Headquarters, as well as part of the Board of Directors of the Software Consultive Council in the state of Nuevo Leon; he was also a member of the ITESM Regional Council and Technical Advisor on Technologies in CAINTRA, in Nuevo Leon. Eduardo has a wide experience in Telecommunications and Computing Technologies; he has held First-level positions, such as: - Director of New Businesses and Business Analysis Development, for Alfa Corporation; - Director of Business and Finance Development at Onexa-Telecommunications Group- Alestra Controller; - Director of Administration and Finance and Director of Business and Services Development for AT&T / Alestra; - Operations Director for Rooster Group. In 2004 he created the company RFID México, where he is currently Director General, getting to be a pioneer in RFID technology, thanks to his businessman profile, entrepreneur of new enterprises. RFID México obtained the Technology Business Accelerator Award from the Ministry of Economy. Eduardo has a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, with minor areas in Finance and Marketing at the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford, USA; in addition, he has a Master's Degree in Operations Research at the University of Karlsruhe, West Germany, and a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He is an Administrator Mechanical Engineer by the ITESM focused on Finance and Marketing, with Honorable Mention. Through the years, Eduardo has developed an excellent relationship with Government officials. In March 2008, For the second year in-a-row, he was unanimously reelected as the President of the Mexican Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies Industries Chamber. Currently He holds the position of VP of the Board of Directors in CONCAMIN and President of the National Association of Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems.
