About Robert Booz , Managing VP, Gartner
Robert Booz is a managing vice president at Gartner, where he is the team manager for the Insurance segment of the Financial Services Industry Advisory Services team. The insurance team is a worldwide group serving property and casualty clients and life and health insurance clients, focusing on the intersection of IT and business issues. His personal research coverage areas include health insurance, including product development and implementation, strategic and tactical business transformation, and financial services in health products. He has a practitioner's approach to IT problem solving.
Mr. Booz has more than 30 years of experience in the health insurance and managed care industry, including executive roles leading managed care organizations and consulting with the nation's largest managed care companies. His work has also included IT strategic planning, packaged software implementation and business operations improvement, as well as work with senior management to develop strategic/tactical plans, market and product expansions, and turnaround activities.
Mr. Booz was a fellow in the First HMO Management Fellowship Program. He also holds a faculty position and is an associate research fellow at the Center for Healthcare and Insurance Studies of the University of Connecticut, where he teaches both undergraduates and graduate students at the School of Business and the School of Public Health.

Ned Moore has been involved in the healthcare industry working with health care payers since 1997. He brings to Portico Systems an understanding of the current market challenges along with their strategic impact and the opportunities that they present for the industry. Building on this experience, Ned was a key visionary behind the Portico product platform that is currently the entire focus of Portico Systems.
Ned graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Villanova University and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale where he also serves as the Chairman of the Robert G. Hamilton Endowment Fund. Chris Brehm is a long term employee at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, a regional BlueCross BlueShield Plan, serving 3 million members in the Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia area. Her current responsibilities include Provider Business Owner of Corporative Initiatives, such as NPI, automation of Provider Information and Credentialing, Thomas-Love case, and a consolidation project which requires the implementation of a freestanding pricer. Chris also supports day-to-day business in the Provider Information and Credentialing Department for system enhancements and fixes. Chris' experience at CareFirst also includes Provider Information and Credentialing, Professional Relations, and Provider Service.
