About Dave Russell
Dave Russell is a vice president at Gartner Research. His research specialty is storage management software with a focus on data recovery, including data deduplication, virtual tape libraries (VTL), continuous data protection (CDP) and storage resource management (SRM). He also covers information life cycle management (ILM). In addition, Mr. Russell covers both distributed and mainframe storage management software. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Russell spent five years as a developer/programmer for mainframe data recovery (DFSMSdss); five years as a development manager for an open systems data recovery product (TSM); three years as the manager of Tivoli Storage's Architecture department for the IBM Tivoli Portfolio (data recovery, SRM, SAN management); and two years as a technical strategist for the IBM TotalStorage Open Software portfolio. For the last few years, he has traveled the world meeting with customers and business partners, and speaking at storage conferences and to the press. He was responsible for defining and driving the technical strategy for the data recovery, SRM and SAN management offerings at IBM.
About Bob Roudebush
Bob joined Double-Take Software as a Product Manager in April 2005. Promoted to Director of Solutions Engineering in January 2006, Bob is Double-Take’s chief evangelist. He works with the Double-Take sales force, sales engineers, customers and prospects to position and promote Double-Take. Through Bob’s efforts Double-Take has been widely acknowledged as the undisputed market leader in accessible data protection for the Windows platform. Bob possesses a deep understanding of technology and the data protection market as a whole. Prior to Double-Take, Bob was employed by Microsoft Corporation where he held both technical sales and consulting positions. Prior to Microsoft, Bob worked as a systems architect for an Indianapolis-based chemical manufacturing company. Bob has over 12 years of IT industry experience and holds multiple industry certifications including Novell Master Certified Network Engineer (MCNE), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has also been named a Microsoft MVP Award winner for 2006, 2007 and 2008. Bob has presented at numerous industry events and conferences including VMworld, Microsoft TechEd, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference and others.
About Robert L. Jacks, Jr.
Rob has been the Chief Information Officer for The Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce for the past three and half years. He has 25 years of Information Technology leadership experience. Rob has lead large complex IT implementations for corporations such as Jim Walters Home, Inc., Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., Mandalay Bay Resorts (formally CCIE) and USA Mobility. Jacks’ undergraduate degree is from the University of Montevallo and his MBA is from Samford University. Rob was selected by Computerworld Magazine as a Top 100 Premier IT leader for 2009.
