About John Pescatore
John Pescatore is a vice president and research fellow in Gartner Research. Mr. Pescatore has 28 years of experience in computer, network and information security. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Pescatore was senior consultant for Entrust Technologies and Trusted Information Systems, where he started and managed security consulting groups. His previous experience includes 11 years with GTE, as well as employment with NSA and the U.S. Secret Service.
About Chris Fedde
Chris Fedde was named President and Chief Operating Officer of SafeNet in October 2006. During his tenure at SafeNet, which began in February of 2001 as Director of Corporate Product Management and Business Development, Mr. Fedde has established the company's security presence in the Federal Government and expanded presence in the financial community. In his capacity as President and COO, Mr. Fedde oversees SafeNet’s significant growth in the company's information security solutions. Prior to coming to SafeNet, Mr. Fedde was Director of Secure Products at Harris Corporation, where he established the security business and led its growth. Mr. Fedde was responsible for the general management of security businesses requiring very high levels of security, including the U.S. Government. Before his employment at Harris, Mr. Fedde was the Engineering Manager at Motorola, developing wireless two-way products for the global markets. He holds several patents related to wireless technologies. Mr. Fedde received a BSEE degree from the University of Iowa. Mr. Fedde also serves on the Board of Directors of AuthenTec, as well as SafeNet.
About Joe Moorcones
Joseph J. Moorcones is Corporate Vice President & General Manager of the Commercial Enterprise Data Protection Division. Mr. Moorcones brings more than 40 years of leadership and experience to SafeNet. Since joining the Company in March 2008 as SafeNet’s corporate vice president, Mr. Moorcones has lead the strategic positioning and migration of new technologies into SafeNet. He is responsible for assuring the continued impact of new technologies on the Company’s highly successful product portfolios. In January 2009, Mr. Moorcones was named General Manager of the Commercial Enterprise Data Protection Division (EDP). In this role, he is building the company’s comprehensive EDP solution for reducing the cost and complexity of regulatory compliance, data privacy, and information risk management for commercial customers that secures data across the connected enterprise, from core to edge, protecting data at rest, data in transit, and data in use. In addition, the Office of the CTO reports into Mr. Moorcones. Mr. Moorcones joins SafeNet from Johnson & Johnson, a Fortune 50 company, where he was the Vice President of Worldwide Information Security. In that capacity, he established the Company security strategies and technologies, and oversaw the security implementation of the worldwide information asset protection program that spans 250 independent operating companies within Johnson & Johnson and more than 100,000 global Enterprise users.
