Business expectations are shifting from attaining greater cost-based efficiencies to achieving better results based on enterprise and IT productivity, according to the 2010 Gartner CIO survey. And driving these productivity gains are collaborative and innovative solutions that take advantage of the new “lighter-weight” services-based and social media technologies, including Virtualization; Cloud Computing and Web 2.0 social computing.
In fact, the 2011 Gartner CIO Survey found that Cloud Computing is now a top technology priority for CIOs. And with IT budgets expected to be flat and business leaders looking for IT to drive revenue growth, productivity will continue to be a strategic imperative.
In this program, Gartner’s John Roberts and Telstra International’s Phil Mottram break down:
• The difference between Productivity and Efficiency
• The implications for making the shift from cost arbitrage and efficiency to value creation and effectiveness in your investment prioritization
• And the role that managed networked services play in moving the enterprise productivity marker.
